Gilt Porcelain Two-Handled Lidded Urn With Applied Rose - A large two-handled lidded urn, constructed from porcelain with extensive gilding and a gold-tone lustre glaze. The waisted body features two C-scroll handles with foliate terminals and is set upon a flared fluted foot atop a square pedestal base. The central decorative feature is a hand-formed three-dimensional pink ceramic rose with green leaves, applied to the front of the body. The lid, handles, and base are finished with relief-moulded scroll and shell motifs, highlighted with hand-applied gold gilding over a white ground. The domed lid is fluted and topped with a flame-style finial. Height: Approximately 28.5 cm.
