Jelco Black Vulcanised Fibre Industrial Transit Case - A mid-20th-century industrial transit case manufactured by Jelco and F. Lortie Co. Ltd. The trunk is constructed from black-coated vulcanised fibreboard panels, reinforced with metal edging and rivets. It features brass-toned metal corner brackets and a central rectangular metal handle flanked by two spring-loaded toggle latches. The interior is lined with grey foam at the base and includes a removable interior tray or divider of matching fibreboard construction. A yellow adhesive label on the front panel identifies the manufacturer as Jelco, F. Lortie Co. Ltd., and indicates the piece was made in Canada.
