Bidspirit auction | Pair of Amethyst Sommerso Glass

Pair of Amethyst Sommerso Glass Swung Floor Vases - Look New - This lot comprises a matching pair of exceptionally tall, slender mid-century modern art glass floor vases. Each vessel is constructed using the sommerso technique, featuring a deep amethyst purple glass core encased within a thick, clear glass exterior. The form is characterised by a heavy, four-pointed star-shaped base that tapers upwards into a long, narrow neck, terminating in a flared rim. The clear glass casing creates a distinct ribbed effect along the length of the purple interior. These vases serve as significant decorative statement pieces, notable for their height and consistent colourway.
