Royal Doulton D6335 Long John Silver Character Jug - Very Good Condition - A Royal Doulton earthenware character jug, model D6335, depicting the pirate Long John Silver from Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. The piece is finished in a polychrome glaze, featuring the character in a black bicorne hat decorated with a white skull and crossbones emblem. He wears a white knotted headscarf and a brown coat. The handle is intricately modelled as a green and grey parrot, representing Captain Flint. The underside is marked with the Royal Doulton lion and crown emblem, identifying the model name and the copyright date of 1951. The base also carries multiple registration numbers including Rd No 864843, Rd No 29156, Rd No 6404, and Rd No 112/51, alongside a small hand-painted green mark.
