Woden C 800 and Marples Cast Iron Mitre Corner Clamps - Good Used Condition - This lot comprises an assortment of vintage heavy-duty corner clamps designed for securing 90-degree mitre joints. The collection features several Woden C 800 cast iron clamps, finished in characteristic blue paint. These units are constructed with a right-angle frame and twin steel threaded screw mechanisms equipped with T-bar handles for manual adjustment. Also included is a central Marples clamp, manufactured in England, which features a different base plate design with two perpendicular screw adjustments. The frames are made from cast iron, showing a traditional blue industrial finish with cast lettering. One clamp currently contains a small wooden shim within the jaws. These tools were typically used in woodworking and picture framing to hold mitred corners securely while glue set or fasteners were applied.
