Two Antique and Vintage Walking Sticks - This lot consists of two walking sticks of contrasting designs. The first is a refined town-style cane with a light-coloured handle shaped into a crook with a decoratively carved scroll terminal. The handle is mounted to a polished hardwood shaft which terminates in a metal ferrule. The second is a rustic country-style walking stick with an integral L-shaped handle formed from a natural branch junction. The shaft retains much of its original bark texture and is likely fashioned from a hardy wood such as ash or hazel.
