The first is a Scottish shepherd's crook-style walking stick. The handle is hand-carved from translucent ram's horn, featuring a scroll-end terminal decorated with a carved thistle-form finial. Below the crook, a carved cross-hatched or knurled collar marks the transition to the wooden shaft. The shaft is formed from a natural wood branch with the bark retained, displaying a mottled dark brown patina and natural knots characteristic of hazel or blackthorn. It is fitted with a simple metal ferrule at the base. The second item is a more minimalist walking cane constructed from a single piece of steam-bent wood, possibly maple or ash.
