After Sir John Everett Millais, Little Speedwell's Darling Blue, Framed Colour Print - This framed colour print is after the original oil painting by Sir John Everett Millais (1829–1896) titled Little Speedwell's Darling Blue. The composition depicts a young girl with dark curly hair wearing a white ruffled dress, seated outdoors in a garden setting and holding a small bouquet of blue speedwells. The printing technique appears to be a tonal process, likely a photogravure or high-quality colour lithography from the late Victorian or early Edwardian period. The print is housed in a substantial and ornate gilt wood and gesso frame, decorated with egg-and-dart borders and scrolling foliate mouldings. A brass identification plaque is mounted to the right-hand inner slip of the frame, inscribed with the title and artist's name.
