An attributed Gorham silver plated pepperette of baluster form - A silver plated pepperette of baluster form, attributed to Gorham. The vessel stands on a stepped, circular pedestal foot, rising to a bulbous body featuring a central band of repoussé foliate and floral decoration. The detachable domed cover is pierced with circular holes and is surmounted by a flame style finial. The design is in a classical style, drawing influence from earlier Georgian silverware. The item is shown alongside a standard commercial pepper container for scale. Height: Approximately 10–12 cm.
