A Collection of Victorian and Edwardian Silver Handled Dressing Table Accessories - An assortment of dressing table items comprising three button hooks and two nail files. The handles are crafted from silver, likely weighted with a cement or pitch core, while the functional hooks and file blades are made of steel. The set includes a large button hook with an oval handle featuring a beaded border and a central vacant reserve; a nail file with a plain, tapered handle; a medium button hook with a simple rounded handle; a nail file with a vertically fluted handle and a circular monogrammed reserve; and a long button hook with an ornate handle decorated with scrolling foliage and C-scrolls in the Victorian Rococo revival style. Small rectangular punch marks are visible on the handle of the largest button hook, including a lion passant mark indicating British sterling silver. Further marks are present near the ferrules of the other items but are too small and worn to be definitively transcribed.
