A Vintage Heart-Shaped Trinket Box and a Marcasite-Set Ring - This lot comprises a vintage heart-shaped trinket box and a marcasite-set ring. The trinket box is of heart-shaped form, constructed from silver-plated white metal with a hinged lid. The lid features a central raised relief rose motif set against a red enamelled ground, bordered by a beaded edge. The sides of the box are decorated with embossed foliate and scroll patterns. The interior is lined with pink satin fabric. Accompanying the box is a silver-tone metal ring featuring a double heart motif. The hearts are pavé-set with rose-cut marcasite stones. The style is characteristic of mid-20th century costume jewellery. No hallmarks or maker's marks are visible on either item.
