A Collection of Vintage Costume Jewellery and Trinkets in a Decorative Book-Form Repoussé Metal Box - An assortment of vintage costume jewellery and decorative trinkets presented within a novelty box designed in the form of a book. The box is constructed from white metal with an embossed repoussé finish, featuring traditional Indian-style motifs including four caparisoned elephants and two central floral mandalas within a scrolling floral border. The spine is decorated with three raised bands and repeating floral patterns. The interior is lined with black velvet and includes an octagonal mirror set into the lid, with three base compartments, one of which contains a ring roll. The contents include an assortment of costume rings, notably an example with a peach-coloured floral head and various metal bands. Also included is a large gold-toned circular filigree brooch centrally set with a dark cabochon stone and surrounded by faceted dark red stones, alongside a collection of tangled chains, metal pendants, and miscellaneous trinkets. No hallmarks or maker's marks are visible on the box or the individual jewellery items.
