A Set of Italian Majolica Style Asparagus Serving Wares - A set of Italian majolica style glazed earthenware serving items, naturalistically modelled as bundles of asparagus. The collection includes a two-part server comprising a rectangular drainage tray with ten pierced holes and a matching underplate, decorated with green-to-cream stalks tied with orange moulded cords. Additionally, the set features a small covered butter or sauce dish with a rectangular base and a matching lid modelled as white asparagus with dark purple-brown tips, tied with a pink ribbon handle. The items are hand-painted with coloured glazes. No maker's marks are visible on the undersides; a patch of adhesive residue is located on the centre of the underplate base.
