A Vintage Ormond Engineering Company Ltd Model E 1022 Bakelite Hair Dryer - An Ormond Engineering Company Ltd model E 1022 electric hand-held hair dryer, manufactured in England during the mid-20th century. The appliance is constructed with a moulded black Bakelite housing and handle. The design features a centrifugal fan chamber with an integrated nozzle and a pistol-grip handle containing a sliding multi-position control switch. It is fitted with a red and black braided fabric power cord. A circular metal nameplate is affixed to the motor housing, bearing the following inscriptions: E 1022, ORMOND, ENGINEERING COMPANY LTD, 230-250 VOLTS 2.2 AMP, A.C. OR D.C., and MADE IN ENGLAND.
