Bidspirit auction | A Collection of Silver-Plated Tableware

A Collection of Silver-Plated Tableware including a Twin-Handled Tray, Epergne Centrepiece, and Flatware - This assortment of silver-plated tableware comprises a tray, a decorative table centrepiece, and several items of flatware. The large rectangular tray features a plain polished centre, rounded corners with a reeded border, and two cast scroll-form handles. The table centrepiece, or epergne, is designed with a central circular bowl containing a removable pierced lid for floral arrangements, flanked by three integral scroll-form arms each terminating in a campana-shaped candle socket. The entire piece is raised on a circular pedestal base. The flatware consists of multiple dinner knives with rounded blades and dinner forks, all in a simple pattern with pointed terminals. Several pieces are engraved with a copperplate style initial B on the handle terminal. A manufacturer’s mark is visible on one knife blade, featuring a crown crest above two lines of text, characteristic of Sheffield production, though the specific maker is not clearly legible.
