Bidspirit auction | A Collection of Eight Emma

A Collection of Eight Emma Bridgewater Earthenware Ceramics in Hellebore and Toast & Marmalade Patterns - A collection of eight glazed earthenware items from the Emma Bridgewater pottery, including pieces from a collaboration with the artist Mary Fedden. The group comprises a large teapot with a domed lid and a purple-glazed spherical finial, four straight-sided mugs, two footed egg cups, and a milk-bottle shaped vase. Seven items are decorated in the Hellebore pattern designed by Mary Fedden, featuring hand-painted and sponge-decorated deep purple hellebore blossoms with yellow centres and green foliage against a cream-coloured ground. The vase is from the Toast & Marmalade range and is decorated with the black transfer-printed text NICE FLOWERS. One mug base is shown with a printed black circular mark reading MADE BY HAND around the upper arc, with BRIDGEWATER and MADE IN BRITAIN in the centre, and HELLEBORE BY Mary Fedden below. The base of the vase bears a transfer-printed mark reading TOAST & MARMALADE, Emma Bridgewater, and Made in England. The egg cups feature a small printed mark on the base reading MADE IN ENGLAND.
