A Three-Piece Japanese Moriage Porcelain Dragonware Tea Service - This Japanese porcelain tea service consists of a teapot and two teacups with matching saucers, decorated in the dragonware style. The pieces feature hand-painted moriage (raised enamel) decoration and gilding. The teapot is designed with a spout and lid finial modelled as dragon heads, with a high-relief dragon body wrapping around the shoulder, accented by white beaded enamel scales. The central decorative bands on all components depict Rakan (immortals or scholars) in traditional robes against a matte reddish-brown ground. The interiors of the cups and teapot are finished in a plain white glaze. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible in the photograph as the items are displayed in an upright position.
