Two Vintage T-Handle Tools Comprising a Corkscrew and a Gimlet - A pair of vintage utilitarian hand tools, consisting of a T-handle corkscrew and a T-handle gimlet. The corkscrew features a turned hardwood handle with a dark-stained finish, fitted with a forged steel shaft and a spiral worm. The gimlet is constructed with a light-coloured hardwood handle, possibly beech, and a steel bit with a screw tip and a fluted shaft. The handle of the gimlet bears an impressed mark featuring the characters OLD preceded by an illegible character. A hand-incised cross mark is also visible on this handle. No marks are observed on the corkscrew. Length of gimlet: approximately 120mm Length of corkscrew: approximately 140mm Total weight: under 500g.
