A vintage black Bakelite rotary dial telephone with directory drawer - A tabletop rotary dial telephone constructed from black Bakelite. The device features a rounded casing with an integrated handset cradle and a rectangular slide-out directory drawer at the front base. The rotary dial is designed with two concentric rings of numbers: an outer ring on the finger wheel numbered 1 to 0, and a matching inner ring in the centre also numbered 1 to 0. The handset is connected to the base by a brown braided cloth cord, and a matching cord is provided for the main connection. No maker names, model designations, or country of origin marks are legible on the exterior of the item.
