An Assortment of Vintage Embroidered Linen and Cotton Household Textiles - An assortment of vintage household textiles, primarily constructed from white and natural-coloured linen and cotton. The collection features various hand-embroidery techniques, including cross-stitch, satin stitch, and decorative hemstitching. The group includes a large rectangular linen cloth with a continuous border of stylized brown floral and foliate motifs, finished with a self-fringed edge. Also included is a natural-coloured linen piece featuring a decorative hemstitched border and a corner floral spray in red, white, and green silks. A white cloth features a detailed hand-embroidered cottage scene depicting a traditional house with a thatched-style roof and blue and white checked window shutters, surrounded by a garden of tall hollyhocks in shades of purple and pink. A group of circular white doilies is present, each with scalloped, buttonhole-stitched edges and delicate floral sprays in pink and purple. One doily bears a small white rectangular adhesive label with the handwritten number 7 in black ink.
