Soviet Air Force Colonel M69 Pattern Parade Uniform Tunic and Trousers - A two-piece Soviet military uniform comprising a single-breasted tunic and matching trousers in a blue wool-blend fabric. The tunic features red piping on the cuffs and front closure, while the trousers include red side-seam lampasy. The shoulder boards are constructed from stiffened gold-toned braid with two red longitudinal stripes and three small silver-toned metal stars arranged in a triangular formation, denoting the rank of Colonel. The black velvet-textured collar tabs are bordered with gold-toned metal piping and feature the winged propeller emblem of the Soviet Air Force (VVS) in gold-toned metal. Brass-toned buttons throughout are embossed with the Soviet State Emblem showing the hammer and sickle. The right breast displays three awards: a red enamel Guards badge; a medal on a five-sided mount with a purple and yellow ribbon; and a jubilee medal on a five-sided mount with a red and yellow ribbon. The left breast features a two-tier ribbon bar mounting six individual ribbons. Attached to the collar is a modern printed white sizing tag reading TO FIT WAIST 32 in / 81 cm / INSIDE LEG 33 in / 84 cm. No original Soviet factory stamps or markings are visible.
