Antique Middle Eastern Brass Cylindrical Amulet Case with Pendants - A cylindrical metal amulet case, historically referred to as a hirz or ta'wiz, likely of Middle Eastern or Indo-Persian origin. The item is constructed from a yellow-toned metal, possibly brass or a low-grade silver alloy, with a hollow cylindrical body and two gadrooned domed end caps. The central body features diagonal decorative bands in raised relief. Two of these bands contain repetitive, stylized characters resembling the Arabic script for Allah as a protective motif. These script bands are bordered by narrower bands with a rope-twist or hatched texture. The case is fitted with eight soldered wire suspension rings along the length of the cylinder. Three flat, heart-shaped pendant charms remain attached to the rings via small wire loops. The item lacks any readable maker marks or hallmarks.
