A Royal Doulton Bone China Figurine of Puppies in a Basket, HN 2588 - An English glazed bone china figurine depicting three terrier-type puppies huddled together within a circular, brown-mottled basket with a woven texture. Two puppies are decorated with tan facial patches, while the puppy to the right features a black patch over its left eye and ear. The entire piece is finished with a high-gloss glaze. The underside of the base features a printed black backstamp showing a lion standing atop a crown, positioned above a circular emblem containing four interlocking D symbols, surrounded by the text MADE IN, ENGLAND, ROYAL DOULTON, ENGLAND, and BONE CHINA. Beside this mark are handwritten characters in black pigment reading HN, 2588, and the number 7 below. An impressed four-digit mark is visible near the rim but is not clearly legible as a specific number. A small circular ventilation hole is located at the centre of the base.
