A Peruvian Gold-Tone Metal Tumi Plaque with Blue Inlays - This decorative plaque is fashioned in the style of an Andean Tumi, a ceremonial sacrificial knife. The cast metal piece features a gold-tone finish and depicts a deity, typically identified as Naylamp of the Chimú or Lambayeque (Sicán) culture. The figure wears an ornate, semi-circular headdress decorated with stamped geometric motifs, including triangles and circles. The face is detailed with prominent almond-shaped eyes, a large nose, and a wide mouth inlaid with blue enamel or resin. The figure's small arms end in circular hands, also inlaid with blue. The torso and lower decorative band display additional geometric fretwork. The lower portion of the object terminates in a flat, crescent-shaped blade form. The reverse of the plaque is flat and fitted with two short, cylindrical metal posts for mounting.
