A Shelley fine bone china tea service in an autumnal leaf pattern - A Shelley fine bone china tea service featuring a transfer-printed decoration of autumnal leaves in muted pink, yellow, and green tones on delicate brown branches. The pieces are designed with scalloped and fluted edges and finished with hand-applied gilt to the rims and handles. The service consists of one large circular serving plate, six square side plates, six saucers, five teacups, one milk jug, and an open sugar bowl. The base of one piece bears a green printed mark consisting of the name Shelley within a scroll-edged cartouche above the word ENGLAND. Adjacent to this is a hand-painted green pattern number 12283. A white circular adhesive label printed with the number 2257 is attached to the base of one saucer.
