The American Redstart Porcelain Bird Bell by Peter Barrett 1981 - A hand-painted bisque porcelain bird bell featuring a naturalistic model of a male American Redstart. The bird is depicted with black plumage and vibrant orange-yellow patches on the wings and tail, perched atop a white porcelain bell. The bell is decorated with three-dimensional applied blossoms featuring white petals tipped with pink, and green leaves. The base of the bell is finished with a thin gold-toned rim. The interior contains a ceramic clapper suspended from a metal wire. The interior wall features printed black text reading THE AMERICAN REDSTART by, followed by a printed signature of Peter Barrett, and the mark © 1981 FP. The initials FP correspond to Franklin Porcelain.
