A Royal Copenhagen glazed porcelain finch figurine model 1040 - A Royal Copenhagen glazed porcelain figurine of a bird, depicted in a rounded, stylised form. The figurine features underglaze painted decoration with a cobalt blue cap and tail, a grey body with white speckled wing bars, and brown wingtips over a white breast. The underside of the base bears three horizontal blue wavy lines painted to the left of the blue capital letters NRX. Below these markings, the number 1040 is painted in green. The unglazed portion of the base includes a small circular firing vent hole. A small remnant of a white paper adhesive label is present on the bird's left side.
