An Ingersoll chrome-plated open-face pocket watch with centre-seconds stopwatch function - A mid century Ingersoll chrome-plated base metal open-face pocket watch featuring a chrono stopwatch function. The circular case is fitted with a fluted winding crown at the twelve o'clock position situated under a swivelling arched bow, and a serrated slide lever positioned at the one o'clock position for stopping and starting the sweep hand. The white dial displays bold black Arabic numeral hour markers from 1 to 12. An outer track provides sixty-second graduations with Arabic numerals at five-unit intervals from 5 to 60. The watch is fitted with black spade-style hour and minute hands and a slender black needle-style centre sweep seconds hand. The dial is printed with the name INGERSOLL in black uppercase characters positioned below the twelve o'clock numeral. There is a line of minute printed text at the very base of the dial below the six o'clock position which is not clearly legible.
