Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Bird Figurine Model 2266 - A Royal Copenhagen porcelain figurine of a bird, model number 2266. The piece is crafted in a rounded, stylized form and finished in a high-gloss polychrome glaze. The decoration consists of a blue-grey crown and back, a white face and throat, and a buff-coloured breast. The underside of the figurine features a green printed mark consisting of a crown above the letter U over the word DENMARK. Below this are three parallel wavy lines in underglaze blue, representing the three straits of Denmark. The model number 2266 is hand-painted in green. There is a small, dark mark positioned to the right of the model number which is not legible. No dimensions are provided as no scale is present in the photographs.
