A Brian Hargreaves The Blue Argus Butterfly Porcelain Bell, 1984 - A white bisque porcelain bell featuring a three-dimensional Blue Argus butterfly to the crown and applied floral decoration. The butterfly is depicted with outspread wings showing black, blue, and white markings with red eyespots. The exterior body is decorated with three-dimensional applied pink lilies and elongated green leaves, with a fine gold-gilt band applied to the foot. The interior contains a suspended white porcelain teardrop-shaped clapper on a metal wire and bears a printed black inscription to the rim reading THE / BLUE ARGUS / by, followed by the signature Brian Hargreaves and © 1984 FP.
