A Franklin Porcelain Peter Barrett Black-Capped Chickadee Bisque Porcelain Bell - A bisque porcelain collector's bell featuring a naturalistic figure of a black-capped chickadee perched atop a white domed body. The bird is hand-painted in shades of black, white, and grey with a buff-coloured underside and detailed plumage. The bell body is decorated with relief-moulded and hand-painted floral sprays, depicting pink and purple blossoms with green serrated foliage. The base is finished with a thin gilded line around the circumference. The interior contains a clapper formed from a white ceramic bead suspended on a metal wire hook. The interior of the bell features black printed text reading THE BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE by followed by a printed signature for Peter Barrett and the copyright notice © 1981 FP.
