A NAO by Lladro glazed porcelain figurine of a young woman with a bird - A Spanish glazed porcelain figurine of a slender young woman standing in a floor-length pale pink gown. A blue-grey sash is draped over her shoulders, hanging down the front of the dress. The figure is depicted with her hands cupped, cradling a small grey and white bird. The hair is rendered in a light brown colour and styled in a smooth, simple fashion. The base of the figurine features a brown printed mark consisting of the word NAO next to a stylised icon of a three-masted ship. Below this is printed HAND MADE IN SPAIN BY LLADRO and © DAISA 1988. The underside is also incised with the number 1317, a small circular o near the rim, and a cursive character. A small white circular adhesive sticker is present on the base with the printed number 535.
