Royal Doulton Celeste Bone China Figurine HN 2237 - An English glazed bone china figurine titled Celeste, model number HN 2237. The figure is depicted wearing a light turquoise blue dress with a wide, pleated skirt and short puffed sleeves. The white neckline is decorated with pink floral motifs and three black bows at the centre. She is posed with her right hand behind her blonde hair and her left hand at her side. The base features a printed dark green backstamp comprising a lion atop a crown, positioned over a circular emblem containing four interlocking D characters. Around this circle, the text reads MADE IN ENGLAND, ROYAL DOULTON, ENGLAND, and BONE CHINA. Centrally printed text reads Celeste, HN 2237, COPR 1958, and DOULTON & CO LIMITED. Four registration numbers are printed to the right: Rd No 889055, Rd No 38021, Rd No 8008, and Rd No 262/58. A small hand-painted green character and a black stroke are present on the unglazed foot rim.
