A Pair of Antique Lemaire Fabt Paris Brass and Stone Miniature Opera Glasses - A pair of antique miniature opera glasses or theatre binoculars. The instrument is constructed from yellow brass with the twin barrels clad in a light grey mottled material, possibly marble or a composite stone. The glasses feature a central knurled focusing wheel and a compact folding-bridge design. The brass eyepieces are engraved around the rims; the left side is inscribed LEMAIRE FABT and the right side is inscribed PARIS. The maker's mark, a small engraved bee, is located between the words LEMAIRE and FABT on the left eyepiece. A small brass suspension loop is attached to the right side of the bridge for a neck chain.
