A Collection of British Royal Commemorative Buttons and Souvenir Silver Plate Spoons - A collection of British royal commemorative items and souvenir metalware. The group includes two circular pin-back buttons celebrating the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, featuring a central portrait of the Queen against a Union Jack background with the text QUEEN ELIZABETH II 1952-1977 SILVER JUBILEE. Also included is a larger circular pin-back button commemorating the royal wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, dated 29th July 1981, featuring a photographic portrait of the couple. The assortment contains several souvenir spoons of varying designs: a spoon with a cast windmill finial and a cross-form terminal, a spoon with a terminal featuring an enamelled or printed insert for the zodiac sign AQUARIUS, a small shell-form salt spoon with a foliate-patterned handle, and two plain silver-plated teaspoons. A circular brass-toned medallion is present, featuring the Olympic rings and a Union Jack. The reverse of one spoon handle bears an impressed mark that is not clearly legible (photo 2).
