An Art Deco Sponged Glaze Ceramic Wall Pocket - A ceramic wall pocket featuring a tiered, fan-shaped Art Deco form. The vessel is constructed with a flat back for wall mounting and a stepped, flared front surface decorated with relief-molded curvilinear radiating lines. The exterior is finished in a high-gloss glaze with a mottled or sponged pale blue and white pattern. The interior and reverse are finished in a plain white glaze. The reverse features an incised mark consisting of the characters F.S. followed by a horizontal underline and a further illegible impressed mark below. A single circular aperture is pierced through the upper back for hanging purposes.
