A 19th-century Rococo Revival gilded wall-mounted console table frame. - A 19th-century wall-mounted console table frame in the Rococo Revival style, constructed from carved wood and composition with a gilded surface. The frame consists of a serpentine-fronted frieze heavily decorated with scrolling foliate and floral motifs, featuring a large acanthus leaf boss at the centre. The structure is supported by a single central tapering leg, known as a monopodium, which is decorated with matching relief carving and terminates in a foliate-wrapped foot. The piece is designed to be wall-mounted; a modern metal L-bracket is currently attached to one side of the rear frame. The original tabletop is missing. No maker's marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces.
