A Collection of Antique and Vintage Curios Including Smoking Pipes, Badges, and Metal Vesta Cases - A varied collection of antique and vintage items comprising smoking accessories, badges, and decorative metalwares. The smoker's accessories include a long-stemmed white clay pipe featuring relief decoration of figures and foliate patterns on the bowl. Accompanying this is a carved pipe in the form of a recumbent dog, possibly crafted from meerschaum or fruitwood, housed in a fitted, violin-shaped case with a black exterior and green velvet-lined interior. The collection includes several badges and commemorative medals. A shield-shaped white metal badge is stamped with the words SPECIAL and POLICE around a raised five-pointed star. A small cast metal badge depicts the British Royal Arms with lion and unicorn supporters. A circular silver-toned and enamel badge features a blue border inscribed UNITED TEACHERS OF DANCE and a red section inscribed JUNIOR. Three medals are contained within a plastic sleeve, with visible inscriptions including THE NATIONAL ROSE SOCIETY around a central crest on a bronze-toned medal and AVEBURY on another. Small decorative items and containers include a rectangular base-metal box with ornate filigree work, inset with five red and four green glass cabochons. Two silver-toned rectangular cases are present; one features a fine engine-turned ribbed pattern while the other has an embossed scroll and shell design. Further items include a tear-shaped brass flask with embossed scrollwork and a screw-top lid, a small pocket compass with a white dial in a metal casing, a small cast metal figurine of a fish, and a metal scoop with a hooked handle. A folding pocket knife is also included, featuring multiple blades and textured, jigged scales.
