A Trio of Porcelain Figurines Including Royal Doulton Southern Belle - A trio of polychrome painted porcelain figurines comprising one large English figure and two smaller Continental figures. The central figure is a Royal Doulton porcelain model titled Southern Belle, HN2229. It depicts a woman in a voluminous, glossy coral dress with a wide-brimmed hat featuring a black bow, holding a basket of flowers. The smaller figures form a pair of a shepherd and shepherdess in 18th-century dress. The male figure wears a white frock coat with floral sprigs over green breeches, holding a bouquet with a lamb at his feet. The female figure wears a green bodice, white floral apron, and patterned skirt, also with a lamb at her feet. The underside of the male figure bears a printed blue mark consisting of a crown above two script letters, possibly an intertwined C and R or S, next to an incised number 1 or 7.
