A Collection of British Royal Commemorative Ceramic Mugs and Beakers - An assortment of British royal commemorative ceramic mugs and beakers, primarily produced in white-glazed earthenware and bone china. The collection features polychrome transfer-printed portraits and heraldic motifs celebrating various monarchs and historical milestones of the 20th century. Notable commemorative subjects include the 1911 Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary, with the text CORONATION JUNE 22nd 1911 visible on several pieces. The 1935 Silver Jubilee is represented by a mug inscribed SILVER JUBILEE 1910-1935. The 1937 Coronation period is well-documented, including a mug for the abdicated King Edward VIII and multiple pieces celebrating King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, featuring the text KING GEORGE VI & QUEEN ELIZABETH CORONATION MAY 12th 1937. A larger mug commemorates the 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, inscribed CORONATION JUNE 2nd 1953. One beaker displays the Royal Garter motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE surrounding a central portrait. The vessels vary in form, including straight-sided cylindrical mugs, waisted beakers, and globular shapes, many finished with gilded rims. No maker's marks are legible on the exterior surfaces.
