A Collection of Hornsea Pottery Fauna Series Planters and Decorative Wares - A collection of Hornsea Pottery ceramic items from the Fauna series. The group consists of various decorative vessels and figurines designed as hollowed-out logs, tree stumps, and woodland cottages. The pieces are decorated in relief with molded figures of woodland animals including fawns, rabbits, squirrels, and a lamb, set against a background of green leaves and polychrome flowers. The collection features a high-gloss glaze in a naturalistic palette of brown, green, and cream tones. Included in the lot is a pair of bookends, each featuring a spotted fawn resting against a rocky outcrop. Several items are designed as multi-aperture vases and spill holders with branch-like structures. The underside of the pieces typically features impressed or printed marks; a representative example in this lot bears a printed mark in a circular format, although the specific lettering within the mark is not clearly legible from the overview.
