Bidspirit auction | George III Mahogany Corner Washstand

George III Mahogany Corner Washstand - A mahogany corner washstand constructed in the George III style. The piece features a quarter-circle top tier with three circular apertures: a large central cutout for a washbasin and two smaller flanking cutouts. The stand is supported by three slender, square-section legs that terminate in outward-splayed feet. It includes a mid-level shelf and a lower shelf, both following the quarter-circle form of the top. The lower shelf displays visible flame grain figuring. The construction utilizes traditional joinery techniques, including mortise and tenon joints for the supports. There are no visible maker's marks, signatures, or labels on the stand.
