Bidspirit auction | A Cased Antler Handled Carving

A Cased Antler Handled Carving Set and a Cased Set of Silver Plated Serving Flatware - This lot comprises two separate cased sets of vintage serving pieces. The first is a five-piece carving set featuring natural stag antler handles. The set includes two carving knives of differing lengths, two carving forks, and a circular-section sharpening steel. The steel blades and tines are secured to the antler grips with decorative ferruled metal bolsters and polished end caps. One fork features an impressed mark on the reverse of the tines reading STAINLESS. The set is presented in a dark wood case with a blue fabric-lined interior. The second set is a four-piece collection of silver-plated flatware, consisting of a large serving spoon, a fork, and two knives with tapering handles. Each piece is constructed from silver-toned metal. Small impressed marks are visible on the reverse of the spoon and fork handles, but the characters are not legible as a name or specific hallmark. This set is housed in a red leatherette presentation box with a cream silk-style lid lining and a dark blue velvet-style base.
