Edwardian 9ct Gold Amethyst and Seed Pearl Openwork Pendant - A 9ct yellow gold openwork pendant from the Edwardian period, featuring a symmetrical Art Nouveau design. The central motif is set with a circular-cut purple amethyst within a collet setting, flanked by stylized gold foliate motifs and scrolling wirework. The upper section is accented with a single white seed pearl, while two further seed pearls are positioned within the lower scrolling elements. A pear-shaped amethyst drop is suspended from the base of the design. The pendant is fitted with a simple loop bail at the top. The reverse of the pendant features a stamped maker's mark within a rectangular cartouche reading LS&S. A further mark struck on the reverse of the openwork frame shows the fineness mark 9 . 375, denoting 9 carat gold. Weight: 1.7 g.
