A Trio of Silver Mounted Dressing Table Items in a Fitted Case - A trio of silver-mounted dressing table items, consisting of a hand mirror, a hairbrush, and a clothes brush. Each piece is decorated in a dense repoussé style with scrolling foliage, acanthus leaves, and floral motifs. The reverse of each item features a central, vacant oval cartouche surrounded by ornate rococo-style decoration. The hand mirror is fitted with a bevelled glass plate. The brushes are set with natural-coloured bristles. Small hallmarks are present on the handles of the mirror and hairbrush, and on the side of the clothes brush. The marks are stamped into the metal but the individual characters, including the maker's initials and date letters, are not legible as a name or specific date. The set is housed in a black leatherette presentation case with a white satin-lined interior and two brass-toned metal latches.
