Bidspirit auction | Stylised Painted Metal Dalmatian Figurine

Stylised Painted Metal Dalmatian Figurine with Spring Neck - A whimsical folk art-style decorative sculpture of a Dalmatian dog in a seated position. The figure is constructed from sheet metal, cut and formed to shape the head, ears, and body. The neck is formed from a flexible, tightly coiled metal spring, designed to provide a kinetic, bobbing movement to the head. The four legs are comprised of thin metal rods with flattened ends representing paws. The piece is finished with an off-white paint over the metal surface, decorated with hand-painted black spots. The eyes are set with two yellow-amber glass cabochons, and the nose is a rounded black component. The interior of the body is hollow, revealing the grey underside of the sheet metal. No maker marks, signatures, or country-of-origin labels are visible on the exterior of the sculpture.
