Bidspirit auction | Two Antique Brass and Milk

Two Antique Brass and Milk Glass Paraffin Table Lamps - A pair of antique paraffin table lamps. The first lamp features a white milk glass font with a waisted profile, decorated with hand-painted floral motifs of red berries and blue flowers. This font is mounted onto a cast brass pedestal base with fluted and foliate relief patterns, supported by a circular black stone plinth. The lamp is fitted with a brass duplex burner assembly featuring two side-by-side wicks and two thumbwheels. The thumbwheels bear stamped characters that are not clearly legible. The second lamp is of all-metal construction, featuring a spherical brass font above a flared pedestal base. It is fitted with a single-wick burner and a gallery intended for a glass chimney. Both lamps retain their original paraffin configurations and have not been converted for electricity. Neither lamp is accompanied by a glass chimney or shade.
