A Partial Tea and Luncheon Service with Spiral Gadrooned Bodies and Gilt Rims - A partial service of white glazed earthenware or ironstone, comprising several teacups, a cream jug, a lidded muffin dish with an underplate, and an assortment of saucers and plates. Each piece is decorated with a molded spiral gadrooned or swirl pattern to the body. The rims, handles, and the finial of the muffin dish lid are accented with hand-applied gilding. The teacups feature scroll handles, and the cream jug has a high-arching handle. The underside of one cup is plain with no printed or impressed manufacturer's name; a faint, unreadable circular indentation is present on the base, which is not legible as a name or mark (photo 2).
