Travel Poster London Underground Shopping Country Town Dora Batty. Original vintage London Transport poster - By Underground for Shopping From Country to the Heart of Town 30 Minutes - featuring a stunning Art Deco design by Dora Margaret Batty (1891-1966) featuring a lady wearing a winter gloves, hat and scarf, holding wrapped packages and an umbrella in front of a large department store building with a smaller image below depicting a London Underground train on a railway track leading through tunnels below the building towards a country house in front of trees behind a fence, the bold text in stylised lettering above and below. Printed by Sanders Phillips and Co Ltd and The Baynard Press, Chryssell Road. Acceptable condition, discolouration and paper browning, restored tears and small paper loss on edges, restored creasing, backed on linen. Country of issue: UK, designer: Dora Batty, size (cm): 102x64, year of printing: 1925.
