Advertising Association Canada Poster Set Buckingham Cigarette Lavender Soap
Set of 2 original vintage advertising fold-out brochure posters. 1.Issued by the Advertising Association of Canada. The poster is dominated by a vibrant green text reading "When posters tell your story all see and understand" with two "Bukingham Cigarette" posters in the background highlighting how posters are accessible to all through its striking imagery and memorable slogans. Designed by Poster Advertising Assocation of Canada. Very good condition, folded as issued. Country of issue: Canada, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 31.5x48, year of printing: 1928; 2. Dignity Advertising company featuring one of their ad posters for Lovely Yardley's - best known for their 'old English lavender' soap. The poster features their trademark 'Lavender Girl" with a basket full fresh herbs stood before grand red brick palace. Similar to the notes of the lavender aroma, the poster evokes a feeling of elegance and refinement. This advert from 1923 is by the poster artist Austin Cooper. Horizontal. Good condition, folded as issued, paper skimming on the reverse. Country of issue: UK, designer: Austin Cooper, size (cm): 25.5x33, year of printing: 1923.
